This moving company is fraudulent and willing to even scam military veterans, a very lowly practice that usually even, the worst moving companies don’t even partake in. They are a broker acting as an intermediary between a moving company and you, but they will charge their fee upfront and from there you are on your own if there are any issues with the mover.
As stated above, this company is a moving broker, which results in about $400 extra just for them to make perform a Google search and a phone call on the customers behalf. They claim that they tend to overestimate weight and that your actual move will be cheaper, but then they do a binding estimate (which sets the price as a minimum even if your actual weight is lower than the quote) on the over-calculation of weight and therefore almost guaranteeing that you will be overcharged as compared to a non-binding estimate. This company calls you relentlessly when they want you to sign a contract, however, once you sign with them it is next to impossible to get information out of them. They tell consumers a date for the move and then switch it or just won’t give an estimated date, that they are usually up to many weeks late for, anyway. Throughout all of these issues, North American Relocation, the broker consumers hire to handle their moves, will be nowhere to be found, barely answer the phone, and never even try to fix any of the issues.
“Do NOT use this moving company..They give you a initial low ball estimate and then proceed to raise the cost of the move by at least 3 times the original price…”
